Honest review by me
In 1979 Ridley Scott introduced new franchise
to the world that influenced many movies which came after. Alien, as the tagline
of the movie ‘’In Space No One Can Hear You Scream’’ is a sci-fi horror about a
private spaceship ‘The Nostromo’. The crews were awaken from hypersleep to
investigate a signal from a nearby planet. When they landed in the planet, they
discovered a strange abandoned spaceship and began to explore the area, soon
they found out that the signal they picked before was a warning.
Ridley Scott had a great vision of
style and mood in the movie; it’s scary, dark, mysterious influential and
entertaining. Ridley Scot is also one of the pioneers to make female as the
main hero. Sigourney Weaver brought the
character perfectly. The musical score was amazing, and the effect was one of
the best at the time. This is my favorite movie in the Alien franchise. However
I’ll tell you that this movie is different, if you are a sci-fi nut you may not
like it because it’s about suspense and maybe drama, I love the movie the way
it is, it’s not a big explosive or gunfight but you may like the sequel Aliens
which I also like.
For me Alien is still a sci-fi
horror classic, a masterpiece and unforgettable. Even though I said before that
you may not like it, but you should try to watch it sometimes. Once you
understand the greatness, it’s one hell of a ride.
